摘要: The endocrine system controls reproduction and hence spermatogenesis in vertebrates. In fish, both pituitary gonadotropins (LH FSH) directly stimulate Leydig-cell sex-steroid production, particular, the production of androgens also progesterones small amounts estrogens. Receptors for sex steroids FSH are expressed by Sertoli cells, a somatic cell type providing crucial support to developing germ cells. Examples how hormones regulate growth-factor expression, which subsequently modulate germ-cell proliferation differentiation, reviewed here. We learn about roles biological processes operating autonomously particularly during meiosis. After completion spermatogenesis, spermiation, that is, release sperm milt hydration.
