摘要: SUMMARY Cultural features and morphology of 11 isolates the hyphomycete Hirsutella thompsonii, an important pathogen various eriophyoid mites, are described illustrated. Three morphologically distinct groups H. thompsonii were distinguished accordingly three varieties proposed: var. vinacea synnematosa. The variety is characterized by vinaceous colonies a different host, Acalitus vaccinii. strains accommodated in synnematosa isolated from Eriophyes spp. related genera. In fresh culture they produce cream-colored cylindrical synnemata, bearing two kinds phialides: (1) single phialides with solitary conidia (2) densely crowded catenulate conidia. all conidiogenous structures formed: often proliferating producing one or more globose, verrucose polyblastic cells smooth-walled, subglobose to ellipsoidal Although differs some morphological characters other species genus, its maintenance proposed.
