摘要: Current South African government policies have obliged tertiary institutions to deal constructively with the needs of under-prepared incoming students (Department Education 1997: 22). Access education is currently more flexible than previously and spurred by grants student loans. More who do not meet basic admission requirements are entering universities means bridging extended programmes. The onus on develop skills such academic development programmes (Yeld 2001: 6).
