摘要: Research on collective action (CA) dates back to at least the 1960s. However, plethora of Internetdriven CAs warrants need revisit theory CA. By analyzing blog and Twitter postings for two movements, “Women Drive” “Sexual Harassment”, we - (1) develop novel methodologies model online by utilizing existing CA theories computational approaches social network analysis, sentiment text mining, content (2) establish a rigorous fundamental analytical framework understand emergence, evolution, development trajectory in complex environments, (3) study coalition formation, interorganizational communication, transnational support CAs. The also identifies cross-cultural aspects campaign network, where Arabic hashtags relate local factors English connect with from various organizations such as human rights women’s rights.
