摘要: Stars with masses greater than about ten solar are thought to end their lives either in a supernova1 or direct gravitational collapse process2, of which could have black hole as remnant. But there is yet no observational evidence support general the formation remnants particular. Here we report large overabundance oxygen, magnesium, silicon and sulphur atmosphere the star orbiting probable binary system GRO J1655-40 (also known Nova Scorpii 1994). These α-elements six times more abundant star's they Sun's. We interpret these high abundances for supernova ejecta captured by companion star. The relative elements suggest that progenitor was mass range 25–40 masses.
