摘要: In order to avoid the castrating effect of bilateral oophorectomy in a teenager with huge ovarian teratomas, plane dissection was developed near each hilum, and cysts were excised toto without spillage. Postoperatively, menstruation resumed promptly as hormonal levels returned normal. Benign cystic teratomas ovaries can be need for oophorectomy. This ovarian-sparing technique is particularly useful cases where reproductive functions should preserved.
