摘要: Normal sliding bearings operating in vacuum and the dry regime tend to experience high friction seize readily. This behavior has been attributed increased adhesion between surfaces. In this paper, authors report on an investigation feasibility of using undulated surfaces trap wear particles thus lower without lubricants. Experiments were conducted a bearing tester 6.5 × 10−6 Pa (5 10−8 torr). The results show that use surface shaft lowers provides longer life. Under similar experimental conditions, smooth exhibit rapid increase frictional force quickly fail due seizure. addition, coefficient obtained or with large diametral clearance is same as air. contrary findings literature which indicate fric...
