摘要: GLIAL-CELL-LINE-DERIVED neurotrophic factor (GDNF) promotes survival of embryonic dopaminergic neurons in culture1, and its expression pattern suggests a role as transient target-derived trophic for the substantia nigra2–4. These participate control motor activity, emotional status cognition5, they degenerate Parkinson's disease unknown reasons. To test whether GDNF has effect on adult brain, we used rat model which these are induced to by transecting their axons within medial forebrain bundle6. We report here that axotomy resulted loss half tyrosine hydroxylase-expressing nigra. This was largely prevented repeated injections adjacent Our findings suggest or related molecules may be useful treatment disease.
