摘要: Abstract Tooth enamel from modern and fossil (Lazaret cave) Cervus elaphus was characterized in order to study the chemical structural changes during fossilization. Calcium, P, Na, Mg, F, Cl, CO 3 , contents were measured by analyses, infrared (IR) spectroscopy used determine H 2 0, OH − P0 4 3− C0 2− . Carbonate increases fossilization substitutes for PO at B-site A-site. The -for-PO substitution experiences highest increase. Water decrease These may be traced Rietveld structure refinement (XRD). Like human enamel, red deer consists of apatite. A good positive correlation has been found between a cell parameter contents. Refinement atomic positions site multiplicity allow us describe distortions polyhedra along 6 axis; these are indirect probes substituent ions apatite structure. At Lazaret cave, karstic environment is thought control enamels. Fossilization conditions have favorable conservation tooth enamels whatever their stratigraphic position location were. experienced only slight considering geological age. This accounts rapid burial continental sediments prehistoric cave. could considered as stable material which dating ESR U-Th methods.
