摘要: A digital sound system for motion picture films employs a time code (20) on the film (4) to trigger transfer of data from audio store (40) FIFO memory (42). The is read out and played back in theater at constant rate, with any jumps ditigal handled by making corresponding jump within but not memory. Readout clocking digital-to-analog converters (DACs) (DAC 1-4) used playback synchronized AC mains (54) that powers projector, thus allows an uninterrupted even if entries are obliterated. need only have enough capacity accomodate maximum access time, can be quite small.
