摘要: Continuous caudal anesthesia has been commonly used for intra- and post-operative analgesia in infants children. However, it a potential risk of bacterial infection, especially whom the catheter site is easily contaminated with loose stool. To avoid authors applied new procedure using subcutaneous tunneling continuous anesthesia. In 18 cases studied tunneling, clinical signs infection were absent colonization was not found on tip after 3.9 +/- 1.4 days catheterization. The incidence without had reported. their reports, ranged from 20% to 37%. Therefore, catheterization simple safe method, proved very effective reduce epidural infection.
