On twinning and anisotropy in rolled Mg alloy AZ31 under uniaxial tension

摘要: The Elastic Visco-Plastic Self-Consistent (EVPSC) model, with the recently developed Twinning and De-Twinning (TDT) description, is applied to study mechanical behaviour of hot-rolled Mg alloy AZ31 under uniaxial tension. Numerical results are compared experimental tensile tests reported earlier by Chapuis et al. [29] for out-of-plane directions a thick plate along angles α = 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° 90° between normal direction longitudinal specimen axis. It shown that accounting initial texture calibrating EVPSC-TDT model using tension rolling permits prediction strength anisotropy strain hardening behavior all five directions, i.e. cases in which contribution twinning dominating, negligible or intermediate.
