摘要: Background: This study explored the impact of habitual stress-coping strategies on laparoscopic performance novices in surgery using a virtual reality simulator. Methods: The SVF78 questionnaire was administered to 12 medical students their final year school (camera holders) and inexperienced surgical residents (postgraduate years 1–3). The included devaluation during stressful situations, distractions from control over reactions negative coping such as stress avoidance need for social support. Assessment dexterity based results simulator. variables time taken complete task, errors economy motion were analysed, with higher score indicating poor performance. Pearson non-parametric Spearman correlations used compare subjects' those LapSim®. Results: Time task correlated high values distractive (P = 0·002) 0·042). Conclusion: Ineffective correlate effective intraoperative is evident. Copyright © 2006 British Journal Surgery Society Ltd. Published by John Wiley & Sons,
