摘要: Neuroendocrine neoplams (NENs) are mostly relatively indolent malignancies but a significant number have metastatic disease at diagnosis mainly to the liver. Although in majority of such cases primary origin tumor can be identified, approximately 11-22% no is found and designated as NENs unknown (UPO). This has therapeutic implications with respect potentially resectable hepatic and/or application appropriate medical therapy, either chemotherapeutic agents or targeted treatment, response various treatments varies according tumor. lack specific orientated treatment may also account for poorer prognosis UPO compared known site. In tumors located small bowel lung, still elude detection. Occasionally presence functional syndrome direct tissue biochemical, imaging, histopathological molecular modalities utilized help identify accordingly. Several diagnostic algorithms recently been developed localize an occult tumor; however, lesion identified even after prolonged follow-up. It expected that delineation signature different provide treatment.
