摘要: Purpose To evaluate the safety of a new high-intensity corneal collagen crosslinking (CXL) treatment protocol for keratoconus. Setting Vardinoyiannion Eye Institute Crete, Faculty Medicine, University Heraklion, Greece. Design Prospective interventional case series. Methods Patients with progressive keratoconus had CXL using 9 mW/cm 2 irradiance duration 10 minutes. The rate reepithelialization, endothelial cell density (ECD), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), and steep flat keratometry (K) values were evaluated preoperatively 3 months postoperatively. Results Nine patients (10 eyes) enrolled. No intraoperative or early postoperative complications observed in any patient. ECD did not change significantly postoperatively ( P =.169). CDVA improved from 0.19 logMAR ± 0.20 (SD) to 0.10 0.16 postoperatively; however, improvement attain significance =.141). eye lost lines CDVA. mean K readings decreased 48.04 2.57 diopters (D) 46.51 2.81 D =.047); =.285). Conclusions Corneal at 9 mW/cm minutes cause significant changes complications. None patient line after procedure.
