摘要: Objectives: Oxidative damage of biomolecules occurs as a result potent free radical reactions. In this study, novel, colorimetric and fully automated method for measuring total antioxidant response (TAR) against reactions is described. Design methods: Potent were initiated with the production hydroxyl (OH) via Fenton reaction, rate was monitored by following absorbance colored dianisidyl radicals. Ortho-dianisidine (10 mM) ferrous ammonium sulfate (45 μM) dissolved in KCl/HCl solution (75 mM, pH 1.8). This mixture named Reagent 1 hydrogen peroxide (7.5 2. The OH, produced mixing R1 R2, oxidized o-dianisidine molecules into radicals, leading to bright yellow-brown color development within seconds. Antioxidants, present sample, suppressed formation degree that proportional their concentrations. applied an analyzer analytical performance characteristics assay determined. Results: Vitamin C Trolox, reduced glutathione, bilirubin, uric acid (±)-catechin solutions depending on Serum TAR lower patients chronic renal failure (1.13 ± 0.21 mmol Trolox equiv./l) higher individuals neonatal icterus (2.82 1.18 than healthy subjects (1.54 0.15 equiv./l). Conclusions: easy, inexpensive described can be used measure samples
