摘要: The Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) is commonly used to assess difficulties recognizing and managing negative affect. Scores on the scale are strongly correlated with measures of psychopathology inversely psychological well-being. Evidence supports use DERS adolescents adults; date, however, few studies have investigated extent which psychometric properties consistent across demographic groups. overarching goal present study was examine factor structure reliability validity scores gender race a diverse sample adults. A total 1,050 students from medium-sized, urban university were included study. Participants 75.6% women 24.4% men; 42.5% participants identified as Caucasian, 40.4% African American, 17.1% Asian American. Results showed that exhibits similar men all 3 racial groups this As such, overall scale, well original 6-factor solution DERS, can be reliably applied individuals current study, results interpreted accordance those preliminary validation sample.
