摘要: SUMMARY The life-cycle cost can be regarded as a benchmark variable in decision making problems involving the retrofit and upgrading of existing structures. A critical infrastructure is often subjected to more than one hazard during its lifetime. Therefore, problem evaluating involves uncertainties both loading structural modeling parameters. present study preliminary aiming calculate expected for service methodology presented that takes into account uncertainty occurrence future events due different types also deterioration structure result series events. In order satisfy life safety conditions, probability exceeding limit state collapse constrained smaller an allowable threshold. Finally, implemented illustrative numerical example which considers seismic blast upgraded non-upgraded configurations. It demonstrated how used criterion distinguish between two choices while satisfying constraint. Copyright 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
