摘要: The notion of a coarse grained thermodynamic potential is extended to non-equilibrium systems with stable, generally time dependent, steady states. A review presented recent results for this problem. defined by an extremum principle incorporating the influence weak noise, it satisfies Hamilton Jacobi equation, which non-integrable, and found, in general, be continuous single valued but only piecewise differentiable. Examples are studied exhibiting monostable multistable behavior, including limit cycles.
