摘要: Stachys is a large and taxonomically complex genus of Lamiaceae (Lamioideae: Stachydeae). On the basis morphological examination field investigation, we revised in Iran. We examined about 3500 specimens from various herbaria produced key for identification all taxa found The following are provided each taxon: description along with complete synonymy, notes on nomenclature relationships within genus, geographical distribution, habitat, IUCN conservation status assessment selected materials examined. reported here as new Iran: S. atherocalyx, S. kotschyi, S. melampyroides S. recta subsp. subcrenata. Several placed synonymy first time here: S. persica synonym S. alpina, S. koelzii S. aucheri, S. ballotiformis S. kurdica kurdica, S. setifera daenensis iranica synonyms S. setifera. Two reduced to rank subspecies: asterocalyx S. pilifera ixodes. According present revision, contains 32 species, nine subspecies two hybrids Iran 17 endemic taxa. © 2012 Linnean Society London, Botanical Journal Society, 2012, 170, 573–617.
