摘要: Abstract This paper investigates the friction behaviour around a carbide drill when drilling titanium with an oil mist lubrication. It questions whether is constant along cutting edge and margins. The application of specially designed tribometer reveals that tribological conditions on margins are fully different ones rake flank faces. Friction coefficients quantified for both (open closed tribosystem). influence contact pressure AlCrN coating also investigated. shown varies lot between tribosystems, tribosystem (i.e. margins) leads to much higher friction, adhesion wear rate than open faces).
