摘要: PURPOSE To evaluate the effects of sotalol in patients with nonsustained ventricular tachyarrhythmia (NSVT). METHODS Ninety were enrolled. Patients submitted to a double-blind crossover randomized study (placebo x 320 ms/po/d/sotalol; 4 weeks, after wash-out control period. Holter recordings performed (Ct), placebo (Pb) and drug (Dg) periods. Eligible had > 50/h isolated premature beats (VPB), control, or without pairs (P) VT (NSVT; 3 beats, 100bpm). Drug efficacy criteria were; = 75% reduction VPB, 90% P NSVT. The Dg evaluated global population, Chagas' disease, idiopathic arrhythmias ischemic/hypertensive patients. RESULTS Differences between NS. Isolated VPB; was effective 42% (38/90 patients) mean Pb respectively 11,770 +/- 13,818 1,043 1,554 (p < 0.001). Pairs: 48% (32/67 439 586 27 52 NSVT: effectiveness 53% (19/36 445 1,148 2.5 5.8 0.102). In VPB 33% (13/39 patients), 42+ (14/34) NSVT 64% (12/22). (17/32 50% (10/20) 36% (4/11). ischemic hypertensive 47% (7/15 73% (8/11). CONCLUSION present study, tachyarrhythmia, minimal side-effects.
