摘要: This paper presents a physical and MAC layer analysis of the recently introduced IEEE 802.15.3c standard for multi Gbps communication at 60 GHz. We find optimal beamwidth transmitting antenna, achieving trade-off between Piconet Coordinator discovery duration contention access period (CAP) superframe. To beamwidth, we first analyze link budget GHz based directional communication, to identify receiving antenna gain, hence minimum required achieve specific bit error probability (BEP) given distance transmitter receiver. introduce more efficient method analytically modeling binary exponential backoff (BEB) process during CSMA/CA CAP superframe, using 1-dimentional Markov chain. Numerical results gain demonstrate usefulness our technique.
