摘要: The 525 meters long Infiernillo II bridge crosses the Dam and it is first isolated built in Mexico. It located Morelia-Lazaro Cardenas highway that connects central cities of country to Pacific Coast. Arch steel trusses compose superstructure five simple supported spans. substructure consists reinforced concrete abutments piers on cylinders piles. total cylinder-pier subsystem height range 46 m 71 m, causing a strong irregularity transverse longitudinal directions. was subjected an assembly real motion movements recorded close Coast Mexico, site where most severe earthquakes occur country. study started by evaluating analytical model with environmental vibration measurements previously taken. Based similarity results, none adjustment required for numerical model. results show importance isolator dynamic characteristics expected seismic behavior bridge. Special emphasis dedicated analyze effectiveness isolation system avoiding concentration strength displacement ductility demands irregular substructure.
