摘要: Abstract. The agricultural implications of differences in soil physical properties along an Alfisol catena were evaluated. studied steady infiltration rate, saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks), available water capacity, bulk density, field air capacity and texture. consisted Rhodustalfs, Haplustalfs Tropaqualfs. A significant increase clay content downslope was the major factor influencing changes associated properties. Steady state rate decreased significantly downslope. Rhodustalfs occurring at crest showed a 1.91 cm/h which is optimum for surface irrigation. This to 0.68 0.29 Tropaqualfs bottom catena; last showing suitability rice cultivation. Ks poor drainage aeration lower horizons Available increased from 97 mm/m 106 122 These results indicate importance approach characterization when planning projects.
