摘要: Inorganic/organic nanofillers have been extensively exploited to impart thermal stability polymer nanocomposite via various strategies that can endure structural changes when exposed a wide range of environment during their application. In this abstraction, we utilized temperature assisted in-situ small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) examine the orientation distribution inorganic/organic nanofiller octa phenyl substituted polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (Ph-POSS) in Polycarbonate (PC) matrix from ambient 180 °C. A constant interval 30 °C with heating rate 3 °C/min was guise below and above glass transition PC followed by gravimetric, HRTEM, FESEM hydrophobic analysis at temperature. The HRTEM images Ph-POSS nano unit demonstrated hyperrectangular structure, while image developed composite rendered separated phase containing flocculated overlapped stacking POSS units matrix. separation further substantiated thermodynamic interaction parameter (χ) mixing energy (Emix) gleaned Accelrys Materials studio. SAXS spectra has duplex peak higher vector region, postulated as primary secondary segregated domain abundance augmentation.
