摘要: Objective: To determine the proportion and timing for suspecting diagnosis of gall bladder carcinoma in patients undergoing cholecystectomy cholelithiasis. Methods: A retrospective study conducted at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi over a period six years, included medical records patients, with cholelithiasis histopathological carcinoma. An extensive review was done special reference to features suspected or unsuspected Timing suspicion categorized on basis clinical features, investigations, operative findings. Results: Out 1396 cholecystectomies performed during study, sixteen (1.15%) were diagnosed as Only three had pre-operative ultrasonographic raise malignancy whereas eight have malignant lesion, Five missed established after examination. Conclusion: The ultrasonography can miss significant number lesions every specimen should be examined histologically (JPMA 55:497;2005).
