摘要: We introduce slow-light enhanced subwavelength scale refractive index sensors which consist of a plasmonic metal-dielectric-metal (MDM) waveguide based system sandwiched between two conventional MDM waveguides. first consider with small width structrue for comparison, and then slow light systems: side-coupled to arrays stub resonators double-stub system. find that, as the group velocity decreases, sensitivity effective mode variations fluid filling well sensitivities reflection transmission coefficients increase. The sensing characteristics sensor structures are systematically analyzed. show that lead not only 3.9 3.5 times enhancements in sensitivity, therefore minimum detectable change, but also 2 3 reductions required length, respectively, compared using structure.
