摘要: In Prior’s tense-logical analysis, we can avoid mentioning instants in our language by construing them as propositions of a special kind. Instead qualifying predicates, may qualify modalities. Prior shows that changing the informal interpretation modal-like language, similarly attempt to ontological commitments worlds (modal logic) and even selves other bona fide individuals (egocentric logic). As he notes, paraphrasing strategy works too generally be direct metaphysical use. I wish speak several types entities within one same language. This leads issue cross-context identity: how make sense speaking entity type relative distinct another type. My analysis employs notion world line. discern structure mutually interrelated categories with three interpretations: tense, modal egocentric. They correspond different views on interrelations time, logical alternatives individuals. dilemma regarding possibility modalizing, not only talk concerning times worlds, but discourse pertaining ‘real individuals’ does vanish reappears also my setting.
