摘要: In this paper we present a demographic analysisof the marital and fertility careers of Russianwomen, born between 1900 1960 based onindividual retrospective life histories,collected in most recent (five percent)microcensus Russian Federation from1994. It extends an earlier analysis womenborn 1910 1935. Although politicalevents often had profound effects on themarital course, none observedcrises Russia has succeeded exerting adecisive influence transition.The decline started late, but takinginto account infant child mortality thatcontinued to be very high until fifties,all generations since 1920 completedfertility near or below replacementlevel.
