摘要: Abstract Until the 1990s 1,1,1-trichloro-bis-2,2′-(4chlorophenyl) ethane (DDT) was sprayed in walls of house along Madeira River basin, Brazilian Amazon, a region well known for its large number malaria cases. In 1910, Oswaldo Cruz described presence 100% population living some localities from basin. Data available literature point to DDT contamination fishes captured region. Fish is major source dietary protein these people. tends accumulate lipid rich tissues and being eliminated by different events, including lactation. Considering importance feeding breast milk children, associated risks exposure via intake children must be assessed. This main objective this work: analyse p,p′-DDT metabolites p,p′-DDE p,p′-DDD 69 human samples estimate metabolite terms total (total DDT = p,p′-DDE + p,p′-DDD + p,p′-DDT). All showed with ranging 25.4 9361.9 ng DDT/g (median = 369.6 ng lipid) 8.7% estimated daily (EDI), DDT, which higher than acceptable proposed WHO.
