摘要: These are exciting yet uncertain times in which to be studying education and technology, with rapid developments digital media entwined contemporary change. In particular, growing numbers of writers researchers portraying the emergence so-called ‘web 2.0’ internet technologies transformatory terms. There has been much discussion, for instance, a general recasting provision along more fluid democratic lines. Some commentators have heralded an ‘Education built around re-engagement empowerment learners (Fumero 2006, Rosenfeld 2007). Yet these enthusiasms tempered by pessimistic predictions heightened dis-engagement disconnection from their studies, or else imminent decline ‘traditional’ skills literacies amongst upcoming generations digitally dependent young people (Brabazon Education therefore left facing long-standing question - i.e. can changes associated this new wave innovation said enhancing harming forms learning they engaged?
