摘要: The aim of the proposed research activity is to investigate on structural behaviour laminated composite plates under low velocity impacts. Analytical closed-form methods are generally unable describe simultaneously different failure modes, as well experimental tests be applied complex boundary conditions or component geometries. Within this work it shown that numerical simulation appears a reliable tool and forecast damage onset growth in components. A procedure, based explicit finite element methods, has been drop mass impacts plates, by taking account both intra-lamina inter-laminates damages propagation up failure. global/local modelling approach employed create model its validation performed considering results from sessions tests.
