摘要: Clearcutting is the main method of harvesting boreal forests, to some extent mimicking natural disturbances by fire and wind-felling. Effects clearcutting on vertebrate fauna in managed forests was examined small mammal trapping spring autumn, winter censuses snow tracks birds summer one central edge (125 m) section large clearcuts mature respectively. There a separate clearcut fauna, at least clearcuts, that well distinguished from forest fauna. not any physiognomic ecotone but showed marked effect with larger numbers many species peripheral parts forest. In examined, Western European bird there were no typical interior species, contrast northern taiga forests. The present easily changed distributions seasonally according variations conditions food abundance. Such generalist will therefore vary considerably local density landscape composition also show large-scale persistence. They may have been selected for as result man's restructuring temperate landscapes, e.g. management. Edge effects seem arise several reasons probably only apply species.
