摘要: Method and apparatus for automatically ascertaining the number of dead cells in a batch. All batch are stained with specific fluorescent dye reservoir, then passed through capillary tube by means peristaltic pump under microscope while illuminated an ultraviolet light. The is coupled to photomultiplier which turn has its output applied electronic counter readout. After counted, immersed heating bath all viable killed another count obtained repassing beneath microscope. difference counts original first cells.
