摘要: To search for genes associated with migratory phenotypes in songbirds, we selected candidate through annotations from the Mouse Genome Informatics database and assembled an extensive candidate-gene library. Then, implemented a next-generation sequencing approach to obtain DNA sequences Painted Bunting genome. We focused on those that were conserved across avian species aligned our mouse genotyped short sequence repeats following genes: ADRA1d, ANKRD17, CISH MYH7. studied possible correlations between allelic variations occurring these novel migration available published literature. found allele variation at MYH7 correlated calculated index of speed (km/day) 11 songbirds. highlight potential providing new might play crucial role regulating birds possibly other taxa. Our research effort shows benefits limitations working genomic datasets offers snapshot challenges related cross-species validation behavioral molecular ecology studies.
