摘要: We report results of spectroscopic observations V382 Vel (Nova 1999) carried out at La Silla between 5 and 498 days after maximum light (23 May 1999, V(max) ~ 2.3 ± 0.1). The analysis the photometric evolution shows this object to be a fast nova belonging Fe II broad class. A distance 1.7 kpc (±20%) is derived from magnitude vs. rate decline relationship correcting for small reddening toward nova, E(B.V) ≾ 0.10. From measured Hα flux associated expansion we derive an approximate mass ejected shell, M_(env) 10^(-5) M_⊙. have also observed during early broad, short-lived (≾2 weeks) feature 6705–6715 A for which several identifications are possible, one lithium doublet 6708 could place empirical limit on production that might occur outburst nova. high luminosity maximum, M_v = -8.9, relatively height above galactic plane (z 160 pc) suggest originated massive white dwarf, likely in range 1.1–1.2
