摘要: This paper introduces a procedure for using optimization-enabled electromagnetic transient simulation (OE-EMTS) the design of HVDC system controls. The OE-EMTS method conducts sequence runs network, guided by nonlinear optimization algorithm. controller parameters in each subsequent run are refined with aim achieving desired performance measure, mathematically represented an objective function (OF). demonstrates procedure, which selection OF follows evolutionary path. is first designed initial OF, often results some unforeseen negative behavior. In next stage, new selected, has potential mitigating this cycle terminated when high-quality achieved. exemplified 200-MW back-to-back dc scheme to operate within range inverter short circuit ratios. optimality measure considers dynamic changes set-points as well recovery from faults.
