摘要: To study the influence of gap structure and bamboo species on regrowth montane Atlantic forest, colonization by plants was characterized in 30 treefall gaps (30.3–500.5 m2). The conducted at Santa Virginia (45°30′ W, 23°17′ S), a 4970-ha reserve forest southeastern Brazil. Area covered bamboos ranged from 0% to 100% area. Average height surrounding canopies 12 30 m. As are average increased, both density richness pioneer woody decreased. Density shade-tolerant were negatively influenced Low-light-demanding Miconia, Leandra Rapanea accounted for majority individuals sampled, whereas high-light demanding pioneers Cecropia, Alchornea Tibouchina poorly represented. We suggest that compete gaps, excluding other light-demanding pioneers. This results an overall reduction forest.
