摘要: This study was conducted to evaluate the long term effect of castration on prostate gland proliferation, extracellular matrix remodeling and angiogenesis. Prostate proliferation assessed by immunolocalization proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). The expression level vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming factor-β (TGF-β) metaloprotenase-13 (MMP-13) were immunohistochemistry quantitative real-time PCR. above mentioned parameters mature intact dogs compared that castrated six months post-castration. results showed induced a remarkable atrophy which associated with highly significant decrease in PCNA index. Although TGF-β protein immunolocalized epithelial stroma cells from both dogs, up-regulation mRNA expression. VEGF its encoded decreased significantly as dogs. Castration, other hand, resulted no change MMP-13 despite an cellular appeared be localized stromal These indicated castration-induced regression continued exert potent suppressive might mediated elevated TGF-β. Moreover, low reflect reduced blood flow demand regressed growth-dormant after castration.
