摘要: House vacancy rate (HVR) is an important index in assessing the healthiness of residential real estate market. Investigating HVR by field survey requires a lot human and economic resources. The nighttime light (NTL) data, derived from Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership, can detect artificial Earth surface, have been used to study social-economic activities. This paper proposes method for estimating metropolitan areas using NPP-VIIRS NTL composite data. combines data with land cover information extract intensity urbanized areas. Then, we estimate values nonvacancy areas, use such calculate corresponding regions. Fifteen United States selected this study, estimated are validated statistical experimental results show strong correlation between our We also visualize on maps, discover that spatial distribution influenced natural situations as well degree urban development.
