摘要: Abstract A series of laboratory prepared copper based chromium free hydrogenation catalysts were in- vestigated in the processing lauric acid and ester to corresponding alcohol. Of main interest was investigation catalyst stability terms metal soap formation mechanical particles presence fatty acids feed formed by saponification water. The results obtained with Cr-free compared commercial chromite. lowest solubility best observed a classical chromite formulation. In fixed bed methyl only A12O3 supported reaches similar stability. can be improved further avoiding high pressure in-situ reduction or applying as ex-situ technique so that water is re- moved from pore system before starting process.
