摘要: Aim: The primary goal of periodontal treatment is regeneration the periodontium. Current theories suggest that ligament (PDL) cells have capacity to participate in restoring connective and mineralized tissues, when appropriately triggered. We evaluated whether human PDL cell sheets could reconstruct tissue. Material Methods: To obtain sheet, were cultured on temperature-responsive culture dishes with or without osteogenic differentiation medium. transplanted fenestration defects immunodeficient rats. Forty rats divided two groups: one group, control medium other, transplanted. analysed histologically histomorphologically after healing. Results: Most experimental group exhibited a new cementum-like layer attachment collagen fibres layer. Histomorphological analyses indicated significant regeneration. revealed dense extracellular matrix fibre formation, but an obvious cementum was not observed. Conclusions: Transplanted induced containing Sharpey's fibres. Thus, method be feasible as therapeutic approach for
