摘要: N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is a solvent that increasingly used in variety of industries, including petroleum refining, microelectronics, pesticide formulation, and veterinary medicine. Animal studies have demonstrated fetotoxic effects after maternal exposure to doses minimal no adverse effect on the mothers. The fetotoxicity comprises resorption, stillbirth, low birthweight delayed ossification surviving young. We report human case intrauterine growth retardation followed by fetal demise at 31 weeks gestation. mother was laboratory worker with other apparent risk factors, who sustained occupational throughout first trimester pregnancy. Laboratory work both previously been associated reproductive outcomes. Laboratories industries use suspected toxins should health policies place allow for decision-making based toxicologic review, assessment, medical evaluation. These voluntary removal prospective parents until environmental assessment controls are instituted.
