摘要: Mast cells release preformed granule-associated mediators (histamine, tryptase, and cytokines) de novo-synthesized (eicosanoids) when antigen crosslinks immunoglobulin E (IgE) bound to its high-affinity receptor (FceRI) . These play central roles in the immediate reactions allergen exposure rhinitis asthma may also initiate perpetuate chronic inflammation. The biochemical mechanisms that transduce amplify antigen-binding signal into a cellular response are not fully understood even animal cell lines (1) complicated by crosstalk between different signaling pathways. This complexity arise from need for mast remain quiescent IgE binds but explosively receptors crosslinked multivalent antigen. Understanding this unique help development of novel pharmacological agents antiallergy therapy. chapter will outline emerging consensus on most prominent transduction pathways cells.
