摘要: The recent development of the integrative taxonomic approach in bumblebees has led to unexpected merging or splitting several taxa. Here we investigate statuses one most abundant, widespread and polytypic Palearctic bumblebees, Bombus pascuorum. latest review this species includes 24 subspecies. We used an based on genetic markers male chemical reproductive traits compared our results with former classifications. Our show that all B. pascuorum taxa are conspecific share same traits. structure observed mitochondrial two nuclear poorly reflects current subspecific classification. Indeed, concordance population differentiation, geographic distribution, colour pattern similarity suggests a different meaningful prospective classification four taxon complexes: (i) dusmeti group, including from Iberian Peninsula south-west France; (ii) rehbinderi; (iii) siciliensis; (iv) floralis groups (including other studied here).
