摘要: Enrichment of waterways with nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) has accelerated eutrophication promoted cyanobacterial blooms worldwide. An understanding whether cyanobacteria maintain their dominance under will help predict trends provide rational control measures. A mesocosm experiment was conducted natural light temperature conditions in Lake Taihu, China. It revealed that only N added to lake water growth colonial filamentous (Microcystis, Pseudoanabaena Planktothrix) single-cell green algae (Cosmarium, Chlorella, Scenedesmus). Adding P alone neither nor significantly. plus additions greatly. The higher rates vs. resulted the biomass exceeding cyanobacteria. This indicates further enrichment eutrophic enhance over dominance. However, it does not mean problems cease. On contrary, risk increase due increasing total phytoplankton biomass.
