摘要: Temporalis fascia has long been regarded as the ideal graft material for tympanic membrane repair. However it often does not seem to withstand negative middle ear pressure in post operative period. Tragal cartilage with perichondrium would appear be a better good hearing outcome. It can obtained easily cosmetically acceptable incision. In present study, we have compared properties of temporalis verses tragal respect healing, and rate retraction or reperforation. 132 patients chronic otitis media pure conductive loss were posted tympanoplasty. was used 71 (composite graft) 61 patients. Post reperforation both materials. All followed up 2 years.
