摘要: Abstract Dynamic Analysis (DA) is a method for projecting quantitative major and trace element images from PIXE event data-streams (off-line or on-line) obtained using the Nuclear Microprobe. The separates full elemental spectral signatures to produce that strongly reject artifacts due overlapping elements, detector effects (such as escape peaks tailing) background. are also quantitative, stored in ppm-charge units, enabling be directly interrogated concentrations of all elements areas images. Recent advances include correction changing X-ray yields varying sample compositions across image area construction statistical variance resulting accuracy extracted these better than 3% relative determined comparisons with electron microprobe point analysis. These results complemented by error estimates derived together detection limits. This paper provides an update research on issues, introduces new software designed make DA more accessible, illustrates application selected geological problems.
