摘要: Bilayer membranes are formed from a large variety of synthetic amphiphiles. The procedures mostly common to those for the conventional surfactants. Double-chain amphiphiles produce stable bilayers if tail length is C10 or longer. hydrophilic head may be cationic, anionic, nonionic, zwitterionic. morphologies these bilayer aggregates studied most conveniently by electron microscopy. Fluid display amazing varieties which often interconvertible. Stable also single-chain possess rigid aromatic segments. again critically determines aggregation behavior. Multiple hydrogen bonding effective improving molecular orientation. Some triple-chain exhibit behavior similar that and double-chain amphiphiles, bilayers. alkyl above mentioned can replaced fluoro-carbon chain without affecting formation much. Finally, applications discussed briefly, but their potential extensive.
